Tingle

Playing on my Mind: The Scientist (Coldplay)

There's this feeling, no, sensation...
I don't know where it's coming from...

The clothes;

The music;

The lights;

The people;

Or maybe it's just me...

The discourse and intimacy perhaps...

Nope, it's definitely me...

This one's gonna be different, this is the one where it spins...out of control...into orbit

Don't think, just do - better still, don't do, become

There's a tingle somewhere..

Can't point out, don't need to point out...

It's there and it's rare...

It's gonna be special - I know, I feel it...

Lesson of the Day: It's more challenging, but always make the conversation about the other person - listen, and they'll notice you...

2007 in Num83r5

Playing on my Mind: Time of Your Life (Green Day)

1: New Cities to call home - the Lovable, Laughable, Loathsome but never dull London
1: Pad - it took a while to come around - but like all good things, with time (and tasteful buys) a house becomes a home...Maintaining it? Let's not start...
2: Drinks of choice: Jameson Ginger Ale and Pear Cider - alcohol will never taste like alcohol ever!
2: Guilty pleasures - Facebook and PS3 (Damn peer pressure!)
5: Close friends made over the last 12 months - here's to you Brown Brigade...
3: Trips to Old Trafford - including the unbelievable victory over Roma...
3: People I was attracted to...
3: People who were not attracted to me...
6: European cities conquered...
12: People from KL who've visited...
1: Friendship reconciled...it was good that we could finally get over the past

Lessons Learnt: The Americans spent $2 Million developing a pen to be used in space, meanwhile the Russians used a pencil. Keep it simple in 2008, folks.

10 Lame Reasons Why I Don't Write

Playing on my mind: Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol)

  1. Procrastination - Why do something today when there is an eternity of an afterlife awaiting
  2. Addiction to Big Words - Because 'emancipation' sounds more intelligent then 'free', but I get a bit malas afterwhile
  3. Penchant for Drama - Long winded, plot twisting, character driven stories always make for a more enchanting read, and therefore requiring more brain cells (mine, not yours)
  4. The Moment - Once it's gone, so does the passion to describe it
  5. Reading other Blogs - Hurry home to post something, sampai rumah puas baca orang lain punya like a sibuk minah, after that fall asleep
  6. Surfing the net - Refer no.5
  7. Chatting - Refer no. 6 (eh, can't help it, don't see my friends like I used too)
  8. Misguided interest - Hati nak tulis, otak tak ada benda mau cakap
  9. TV - With my current choices, Astro kalah teruk...plus must catch up on Scrubs, Lost, Heroes, Gray's Anatomy, 24 (and maybe) Prison Break
  10. Malas - nuff said
Lesson of the Day: Pedro Almodovar survived his early years by selling used goods at a flea market in Madrid. Luciano Pavarotti survived his early years by selling insurance door to door. Fat guys don't get it easy.

Signs

Playing on my mind: Another One Bites the Dust (Queen)

A warning sign
I missed the good part then I realised
I started looking and the bubble burst
I started looking for excuses

Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign

When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so

A warning sign
You came back to haunt me and I realised
That you were an island and I passed you by
When you were an island to discover

Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign

When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so

And I'm tired
I should not have let you go

Lesson of the Day: Ghana achieved it's independence around the same time as Malaysia, and they beat the Czechs at the World Cup last year. We in the mean time, lost to Singapore in the Tiger Cup Semi Final.

Procrastination

Playing on my mind: A Thousand Years (Sting)

26 years and 8 months ago - I was born, cos you know, one day (or night) my parents decided that the gene strain should witness tea being stretched in the outer limits of space

2 years ago - I decided that I wanted to start a blog, cos you know, everyone else is doing it, so why not me?

18 months ago - I setup a blog, cos you know, if you keep reading enough postings out there, you eventually wanna have your own say too

12 months ago - I put up my first post, well actually greeting, cos you know, after a while people start visiting and they realise well, there's nothing going on here

10 minutes ago - I decided to write things down, cos you know, it's killing me inside

Lesson of the day: There a Chinese people in Kenya, but then again there are Chinese people wherever the Sun shines. Gong Xi Fa Cai all.
